Hey y'all.
Life is weird right now. I am lacking in motivation, my hubby is lacking in motivation. Everyone I talk to is lacking in motivation.
I know that the world is still turning.
The weather is crazy. I think it is because all of the pollution is going away because humans aren't doing as much. The Earth is reclaiming itself.
I don't really have much advice right now. Just try to keep faith.
I spend my days trying to keep busy and trying to remain positive.
All I can say is that this is a huge trauma everyone is facing. Everyone is going to face it differently. I've been reading that a large percentage of the population is struggling with sleep and restlessness. This makes sense. We went from being overwhelmingly busy to a complete standstill, in some cases, literally overnight. If you need sleep, sleep. If you need to watch tv, watch tv. If you need to exercise, exercise. Try to listen to your body. Try to do what's right for you.

Fitness
In light of the fact that things are crazy and that motivation is a challenge, I am just going to

encourage that you do what you can right now. If that means popping on a movie and walking on the treadmill, do that. If that means just waking up in the morning, brushing your teeth, and surviving, do that.
A lot of people are in survival mode right now. It's completely understandable. Please respect yourself, and others. Do what is right for your body. Survive.
Nutrition
I honestly wish we weren't still in a situation in which gaining access to food is a challenge.

Please be smart, and safe, about it. I have decided to make a food calendar for the entire month of April and May in order to be prepared for meals. Even I have been struggling with food options.
I know that a lot of people are craving comfort foods right now. That's completely understandable. We get a nice dopamine hit when we eat those comfort foods. All I ask is try and balance the junk with something a bit healthier. Or, make your junky food a bit healthier by adding veggies if you can.
Mind body connection
Try and breathe my dear sweet friends. Mental illnesses, anxiety disorders, depression, and panic attacks are on the rise right now. With the stress of the unknown, with all of the current restrictions to our normal lives, with everything going on, try and breathe. I know it is hard to keep faith. I know that it is scary. Try not to focus on the scary.

I am in no way a religious person. I am however a spiritual person. I am trying to keep my energies positive. It's a challenge. I understand that you will fail at it from time to time, I do to. I do not pray. But at times like these, the serenity prayer makes sense.
Take from it what you need. Leave behind what doesn't work for you.
Together, we will survive and make it through this scary, uncertain time.
I love you all and hope we all have more positive energy in May.
Peace, love, and strength,
Kris
