Welcome to March!

So, I don't know if you've been watching the news, but things are starting to look a bit serious with this virus. I guess we just need to watch and see. Keep your head up and your eyes on the news.

Fitness

According to research, exercise can help improve your immune system. It can help get bacteria out of your lungs and increase your white blood cell counts. It can also help ease your allergy symptoms.



With all of the news about a virus that causes respiratory distress, as well as the high pollen counts, let's get our sweat on.


As always, I strongly recommend something that is fun and not excruciating. Check out this walking plan that's specifically designed for people new to fitness walking.


Nutrition

My hubby and I went over to the west coast the other day and got a huge amount of loose leaf tea.

Tea is super good for you. It has a ton of benefits. And each type of tea has a different flavor and has different nutrition profiles.


Some of the benefits of tea are:

-It revs up the metabolism

-Its full of anti-inflammatory compounds

-Its hydrating

-Its good for your stomach


Next time you're in the coffee and tea aisle, pick up a couple different teas. Just remember not to add any sugar to it, otherwise, it's basically just simple syrup.
