We've survived the first 31 days of 2020!!!!! Congratulations! I'm not sure how many more weeks we have until spring, but, we all know it is coming! This month is of course the month of love. That means dinners out, candy, and romance.

Fitness

It's the month of love and romance. How should we celebrate this love? What could be more romantic than taking dance lessons with your paramour? I know, I know, I often mention dancing as a workout option. Well, that's because I love dancing as a fitness technique. Grab your love and dance it up. Learn the tango, or salsa. Get up close and sweaty!

Speaking of getting up close and sweaty, that can also be a great workout. Enjoy!

Nutrition

t's the time of year in which lovers give each other giant boxes of inexpensive chocolates to show how much they love each other. For those of us that are trying to remain healthy, this seems like a terrible temptation. Tell your partner that this year you would rather get a couple of really nice, high end chocolates instead. Another great option is to forego the candy altogether and have a healthy romantic picnic together.

Try and find healthy things you can do instead of eating that giant box of calorie dense candies. I mean, isn't the whole point of the holiday to spend time together, showing how much you love each other?

Mind and Body

We know that spring is going to be slowly making its way here.

This month let's work on welcoming the new beginnings. We can work on centering ourselves, our minds, and our bodies with sun salutation.

This series of poses can be completed quickly, moving from pose to pose with each inhale to warm the body, or slowly using it as a moving meditation.

Either way, focus on the breath and movement while completing it. Try and empty your mind and just be.

Tomorrow is Ground Hog Day and Puxatony Phil is going to pop out of his hole and try and predict the coming of spring. I am going to continue to live my life in the moment and try and release those things that I cannot control. Continue to be great!

Peace, Love, and all that jazz,

Kris
